WELCOME

Welcome to the Walkerville Primary School website. Walkerville Primary School is a South Australian Government school providing quality education for Foundation to Year 6 children (usually 5 to 12 years of age). The school is situated in the suburb of Walkerville, approximately 4 kilometres north east of the city of Adelaide SA, Australia. The school caters for approximately 550 children on a site with attractive grounds, a school theatre, modern gymnasium and basketball/netball courts. The nearby Walkerville Oval is also used extensively by students for playtime and sporting activities.

As principal of Walkerville Primary School I feel privileged and honoured to be a part of this strong and vibrant school community – a community that pursues excellence in teaching and learning whilst nurturing the social and emotional needs of students to support them to become confident and resilient individuals.

Walkerville Primary School has a dedicated staff who strive for high standards in teaching and learning by continually improving their own professional knowledge and expertise to ensure students are provided with a high-quality education. We have a strong focus on a learning environment that is collaborative, inclusive and supportive of our whole school approach to challenge and stretch student learning.

We have a highly motivated and active ‘Friends of Walkerville’ (FOW) committee whose contributions benefit positive connections. Our involvement in the Adelaide/Prospect partnership of schools extends our connection in the community, providing for seamless and smoother transitions for students.
