Walkerville Primary School welcomes and invites expressions of interest to enrol in the school.
We provide priority enrolment for students who live inside the school’s zone, however consideration can be given to enrolment applications from non-local families.
Out of zone applications will be considered on an individual, case by case basis by the Principal after reviewing the application and the school’s profile at the time of application.

If you would like to join the Walkerville Primary community, we invite you to attend a school tour. During a school tour you will find out more about our school, meet our leadership team, ask questions and tour our facilities. They are designed for adults only, as once your child is enrolled, they will be part of an orientation program to help them make a smooth transition to school at Walkerville Primary.

2023 - ENROLMENT
There are limited places available in some year levels for the remainder of 2023. Please contact the front office to ascertain if any vacancies exist in your child’s year level for 2023.
Please note an offer of enrolment cannot be made until the Principal has reviewed the completed Registration of Interest form along with all the required supporting documentation.
2024 - ENROLMENT
2024 RECEPTION STUDENTS:
TERM 1 START (30 January 2024) – Children must turn 5 by 30 April 2024
TERM 3 START (24 July 2024) – Children must turn 5 by 31 October 2024
Walkerville Primary School has opened the 2024 Reception application process for families to register their interest for enrolment for a Term 1 or Term 3 start.
In line with all Department for Education schools, Walkerville Primary will offer a mid-year intake for Reception students to commence in Term 3, 2024. Students who start school through a mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of reception. Parents can choose to enrol children born after 1 May 2018 in the middle of the 2024 school year or the beginning of 2025 as best suits their child’s needs.
As with other schools within our area, families living inside our school zone will only be notified of the outcome of their child’s application after the registration period finishes;
30 June 2023 for children starting in Term 1, 2024
January (to be confirmed) 2024 for children starting in Term 3, 2024
Walkerville Primary School cannot guarantee enrolment at the school for any Reception students in 2024 until this process is completed.
2024 YEAR 1 to YEAR 6 STUDENTS:
New applications for enrolment will be placed on our Enrolment Register. To apply for our 2024 Enrolment Register you must supply the school the required documents. Offers of enrolment will be made by the Principal once a vacancy has been confirmed. Please note this is often late in the year after current student movements have been confirmed.
PLEASE NOTE: In order for your child to be considered for enrolment, you must supply the school with all the required supporting documents (please see below for details). Completed Registrations can be posted or emailed to email@example.com
ENROLMENT FOR FAMILIES LIVING OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL ZONE
Families living outside our school’s zone are welcome to register interest for enrolment, please complete and provide the above information along with the Out of Zone Supporting document. Out of zone enrolments will be considered by the principal on a case by case basis.
PLEASE NOTE: In order for your child to be considered for enrolment, you must supply the school with:
- Registration of Interest form for the year you are wishing to join Walkerville Primary School
- Out of Zone Application Form
- Required supporting documents (please see below for details).

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION FOR ENROLMENT
In order for your child’s Registration to be complete and therefore valid, please post or email all the following documents:
- Completed Registration of Interest for Enrolment Form
- Child’s proof of identification (Birth Certificate or Passport)
- A copy of your child’s visa documentation (if applicable)
- Proof of address:
Renting your home:
- A copy of your current rental agreement (must cover the first full year of your child’s schooling)
- A copy of your Bond Receipt, issued by Consumer and Business Centre
- A copy of your most recent electricity or gas bill
Purchased your home:
- A copy of your recent Council Rates Notice (or Contract of Sale if very recent)
- A copy of your most recent electricity or gas bill
Submitting the above documents it is not an enrolment at the school, it is an application for your child to be placed on our school Enrolment Register.
In some instances, the school may ask families to supply additional ‘secondary’ documentation to support proof of address details.
All applications will be assessed in accordance with the school’s zoning criteria. Families will only be contacted once an appropriate vacancy becomes available for your child. Unfortunately, the school is not in a position to guarantee when vacancies at the school will arise.
