Curriculum frameworks

Walkerville Primary School curriculum is based on the following areas of study:

• Languages – Chinese

Our learning areas are guided by the Australian Curriculum, implemented in accordance with guidelines from the South Australian Department for Education.

The physical education, science, performing arts, Chinese and English as an Additional Language Dialect (EALD) and intervention programs are supported by school based specialist teachers.

Our school offers a number of optional enrichment opportunities, including the Festival of Music choir and a wide range of school sporting teams. Specialist music lessons in percussion, brass, and woodwind instruments are available through the Department for Education’s Instrumental Music Service. In addition, private providers offer piano lessons and support the junior choir.
